Magandang Umaga! (Good morning)
Are you ready for the day ahead? Not yet? Still sleepy eh.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a morning person or not, we all start our day at some point. And we all start it differently. I usually have problems sticking with my daily habits because I don’t follow a morning routine. So I listed some hacks that will help start my day right. Hopefully, this will help you too, to get a little more productive, creative and happier person for the entire day. Here’s my Top 5 Morning Routine to Boost Up Your Day:
- Start your day with a List
There’s this method called “Tomorrow List”. At the end of your day, create a list of task you need to complete tomorrow. So when you start the next day, simply look at the list and complete it. Then end your day by creating another list. Sound simple right?
Always make sure you tackle one important task each day. Preferably each morning, this will give you a sense of victory and you will deal the day with ease and confidence.
- Eat Breakfast
Never skip breakfast. In order to jump start your day, you need energy. All parts of the body need the energy to work. This energy comes from the food we eat. Got it? Ok, so eat.
Don’t just wake up. Move. It will get your heart pumping, starting your day strong. Exercise even for just 10 minutes or go for a quick walk.
Appreciate the fact that you wake up today. You live another day and that is something to be thankful for. Think of things that make you happy and may feel grateful about. By doing so you’re inviting positive energy (you get my point).
- Ask yourself this Question
“If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?”
Steve Jobs ask himself this question every morning. And whenever the answer has been no for too many days in a row, he knows he needs to change something.
I’m asking myself the same thing every morning. It makes me realize that I need to value each day because someday I’ll be gone and you will be too. So wake up each morning with a good heart and intention.
It’s gonna be hard at first to follow this routine. But stick with it and you will see a big difference even with a simple change of morning habit. How about you?
