10 Things You Should Force Yourself to do Every Day

10 Things You Should Force Yourself to do Every Day
  1. Be grateful. Sometimes it’s easier to focus on what we don’t have, rather than what we already have. Take a time out and remember all of the things to be thankful for that many of us take for granted. You’re alive today, that’s more than enough reason to be grateful.
  2. Smile and say “Thank You” as often as you could. When someone holds a door for you or when the lady at the coffee shop serves your drink – just say thank you and smile. Do it always and you’ll make that person’s day a little bit better.
  3. Do a good deed. Doesn’t matter how small it is. Whether you treat someone for coffee or give the waiter some tip or even as simple as giving someone your last mint. It might not change their lives but it will certainly change yours.
  4. Compliment and be honest about it. Remember how it feels when someone praises you? Isn’t it nice? Now go ahead and compliment someone you know. You might cheer up their day, you gorgeous creature you! ?
  5. Text, email or call your parents/relatives.  Just talk to them and ask them how their day was. It’s a simple way of reminding them you love them.
  6. Listen to good music. Find a certain tune that would put you in a good mood. Never listen to a sad song when you are sad, instead look for that Hakuna Matata song and play that jam!
  7. Writing down a list. List down things you wanted to do for the day. Now go through this list, and one by one, complete it. I kid you not, it feels good checking off that list.
  8. Look at the mirror and say one thing you like about yourself.
  9. Stretch. Stretching can calm the mind, provide a mental break, and give your body a chance to recharge.
  10. Forgive yourself. You are not perfect, nobody is (except for pizza). Everyone has their own story and their own flaws. Remind yourself that and forgive yourself for making mistakes. It’s the quickest way to make yourself a better person.
